- Download pushes a project from your laptop into the controller. On most platforms it replaces everything that was there, and the controller usually stops to receive it.
- Example
- A new revision is downloaded during the maintenance window. The controller goes to program mode, takes the project, and comes back to run when you tell it to.
- Why it matters
- A download from an old file overwrites every change made since, and the machine restarts with whatever initial values the file carries. Confirm which file, which controller, and who is standing at the machine before you press the button.
