Application Macro
Preset group of parameter assignments for a common control arrangement or machine application.

- Plain English
- An application macro is a preset bundle of parameter values for a common setup. Pick one and the drive assigns its terminals, references and stop modes the way that application usually needs.
- Example
- The two wire macro sets terminal one as run forward and terminal two as run reverse with an analog reference. The PID macro sets up a transmitter input and the internal loop instead.
- Why it matters
- A macro gets a drive running in minutes, and it silently sets dozens of parameters you did not choose. Know which macro was applied before you change anything, because the terminal that seems miswired may be doing exactly what the macro said.
