Run Command
Signal or network command that requests the drive to operate when all enables and permissives are satisfied.

- The run command is the signal that asks the drive to start. It can come from a terminal, the keypad or the network, and the drive acts on it only when its enables and permissives are already satisfied.
- Example
- A PLC output closes on drive terminal one. The drive checks that it is enabled, has no fault and has a reference, then ramps the motor up.
- Why it matters
- A drive that refuses to start is usually a drive whose run command is arriving at the wrong place, since the command source is a parameter and the wire, the keypad and the network are three different doors. Find which source is selected before you chase the wire.
