Denial of service
The preventing clients from connecting to a legitimate access point

- Denial of service is blocking legitimate clients from connecting to a service or access point, so the resource is still there but nobody can use it.
- Example
- An attacker floods a wireless access point with deauthentication frames, knocking staff off the network that connects a warehouse's AI inventory scanners to the backend.
- Why it matters
- Availability is one third of the security triad. AI systems often sit in real-time loops, so even a short outage can stall the operations that depend on them.
