Automated data correlation
The process where an AI system automatically detects and links relationships, patterns, or associations between different data points or data sources without manual analysis so it can combine them into meaningful insights, predictions, or alerts

- Automated data correlation is when an AI system links relationships and patterns across different data points or sources by itself, turning scattered facts into insights, predictions or alerts without a human joining the dots.
- Example
- A security platform correlates a failed MFA prompt, a new device enrolment and an unusual API key creation for the same user within ten minutes, and raises a single account-compromise alert.
- Why it matters
- Attackers spread their steps across systems so each one looks innocent. Correlation reassembles the story at machine speed, which is the only speed that keeps up.
