Run Mode

Controller state in which the enabled user program executes and outputs are controlled according to the project.

Run mode is the controller executing its program and driving its outputs. Inputs are read, logic is solved, and the machine does what the program says.
Example
The key switch on the CPU is turned to run. The status light goes solid green, the scan starts, and the outputs come alive according to the logic.
Why it matters
Every mode change is a moment the machine can move. Going to run with a force set, a latched bit left on, or a fresh download whose initial values nobody checked is how motors start before anyone meant them to.
